The Work Cover Safety Awards recognise Tasmanian businesses, organisations or individuals who are leading the way in workplace health and safety. BRA won the category for 'Best solution to an identified workplace health and safety issue' by developing and constructing an Automated Pellet Handling Facility in order to replace the original labour intensive and hazardous process, which included the operation of vehicles in extremely dusty and fire-conducive conditions. Since the introduction of the automated pellet system one year ago, there have been no reported incidents relating to normal pellet out-feed operations.
